I can help you with the following:

Digital consultancy
Whether it’s a six-point plan to get you started, a comprehensive audit or a complete project from inception to completion, I can help you transition from print to digital, reinvigorate your web presence, add some social media and search engine nous or help you reinvent your online content strategy.

I have a proven track record across multiple disciplines: print publishing (New Statesman, Press Gazette); broadcast (Channel 4 News); government (Directgov); and B2B (silicon.com).

Journalism/Writing
I’m available to write features, analysis, opinion articles, blogs, reports, white papers, speeches and more. I’m an experienced editor which also means I can commission, proofread, fact-check and edit – on an ad hoc or project basis.Writing beats include technology, new media, sport, politics and current affairs. You can get a flavour of my journalism
here, read my Press Gazette columns here and my personal blog here.

Social media training
I run workshops for communications professionals who need to understand the power of social media; how to push content out but also engage, listen and act - all of which will ultimately help extend reach and enhance reputations.

These interactive workshops, either half- or full-day, include tales from the newsroom that demonstrate the power of social; a rundown of the Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+ features that really matter; six ways social media can help your communications now; and how to grow your follower count and get noticed.

Chairing and moderating events
An experienced and accomplished facilitator, I’m a regular chair at the political party fringe (Liberal Democrats, Labour and Conservative), the conference circuit (including, most recently, DCM 2013 and the Press Gazette’s News on the Move), as well at a variety of corporate and non-corporate events.

Whether it’s an ‘In conversation’, a one-plus-four or a roundtable, I put in the hours pre-event (briefing the participants and being briefed in turn) to ensure the debate is tightly focused, engaging and interactive.
